Some of Australia’s brightest young brokers are in Sydney this week attending personal development sessions and judging for the National Insurance Brokers Association's (NIBA) Warren Tickle Memorial Award.

The winner will be named at the NIBA Convention in October. Kevin Baker is representing Victoria and Tasmania; Dean Brumby, Queensland; Angela San Diego, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory; Ward Dedman, Western Australia; and Ian Furby, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

NIBA Professional Development Linda Evans says the finalists’ activities have included working with a psychologist to evaluate their work, career and personal goals; learning presentation skills, and being briefed on industry issues with Vero, the sponsor of the award.

Judging is being carried out by NIBA National Education Committee Chairman Steve Ball, fellow NIBA board member Greg Rynenberg; Ms Evans and Vero Executive GM Intermediated Distribution Denise Bofill.
