Win a trip to the Great Barrier Reef

Catlin and Insurance News have joined forces to offer two brokers a trip to join the Catlin Seaview Survey on the Great Barrier Reef next month.

The survey, which began in September, is studying the impact of increasing sea temperatures and ocean acidification on the reef, with the initial phase running until the end of the year.

It is the second major scientific project sponsored by Catlin following the Catlin Arctic Survey from 2009 to last year, which investigated the potential impact of climate change on the Arctic, including the loss of floating sea ice.

The Catlin/Insurance News competition offers return economy airfares to Cairns, two nights’ accommodation in Cairns and transfers to and from the hotel.

The winning brokers will visit a Catlin Seaview Survey dive site on the Great Barrier Reef to meet the shallow reef team and learn more about the science behind the project. There will also be snorkelling and a helicopter ride over the reef.

Entries close at noon (AEST) on October 31 with the winners to be announced on November 5 and the trip to take place from November 20-22.
