Thousands of HIH policyholders are using a telephone hotline set up by liquidators KPMG over the past week.

More than 4000 calls – most related to personal lines policies – were answered by the hotline last week. “Difficult questions” that relate to specific claims are referred directly to HIH. There were 436 of these calls last week.
