The survey found 55.3% of workers were satisfied with their insurer while 22.2% said they were very satisfied.
The number of workers dissatisfied with their insurer was 7.1%, with 4.5% saying they were very dissatisfied.
Workcover WA surveyed a total of 700 workers who had experienced at least one day off work. It excluded those workers who had asbestos and disease claims.
Those satisfied with their insurer praised the lack of problems dealing with their claim (25.7%) while 16.1% were pleased with receiving their compensation when needed.
The main reason for dissatisfaction with their insurer was lack of communications (30.5%) and problems with compensation payments (20.7%).
The levels of satisfaction between approved insurers and self-insurers were similar, with the former coming out slightly ahead.
The levels of satisfaction with the service received from insurers did not correlate to the number of days off work. The level was about 55% satisfied.
Insurers (19.6%) did not feature very strongly when a worker wanted to talk about returning to work, with 72.2% of injured workers relying on their doctor for advice.
