More than $3.6 million has been paid to 120 HIH victims under the Victorian Government’s $35 million dollar HIH rescue scheme. The scheme was set up to fund the collapsed insurer’s builders’ warranty claims, providing the same benefits promised by HIH.

Finance Minister Lynne Kosky said there is another $377,000 on its way to Victorian home owners as a result of the 1129 claims lodged with the Housing Guarantee Fund.
