UAC appoints new chairman
Paul Lynam, MD of SRS Insurance Group, has been elected the new Chairman of the Australian Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) for 2003. He replaces outgoing chairman Peter Nash, the MD of Sportscover, who remains on the council as a director.
The rest of the board are: Greg Bunt (Triton Underwriting), Roy Ellis (InterPacific Underwriting), Murray Rogash (CEMAC), and Tony Thrift (Global Underwriting). Chris Harnett (InterPacific Underwriting) has been re-appointed as Company Secretary.
Mr Lynam said the UAC board has played a vital role in negotiating the licensing requirements for underwriting agencies under the Financial Services Reform Act.
