Time running out to tender for government insurer partnership

Potential partners have until 1 April 2022 to apply for opportunities with the Defence Service Homes Insurance Scheme (DSH Insurance).

DSH Insurance is continuing to seek expressions of interest from organisations that are interested in insurance management and administration services, a partnership arrangement and the provision of an insurance business software solution to meet organisational requirements. Further details can be found here.

The Australian Government insurer provides comprehensive home building insurance and other insurance services to members of the Australian Defence Force, ex-service members and their families.

DSH Insurance says its recently launched comprehensive home insurance online tool is a success among its audience with an increase in daily engagement recorded by the team.

“Unique in its design and configuration, the tool automatically confirms eligibility and provides accurate estimates to the insurance seeker in minutes,” it says.

Self-funded through premium, investment and commission income, DSH Insurance has not required Government funding since its inception in 1919.

Through Federal Government eligibility expansion, DSH Insurance has created an opportunity to extend its market base and reach 300,000 additional defence force members and veterans.

With operations spread nationally, DSH Insurance often coordinates with Government agencies, Australian Defence Force and veteran groups for strategic approach, market research, database information and have special access to on base promotion opportunities and events.
