Telstra has appointed Brendan Tobin as Chief Executive of Telstra eBusiness Services, the company which manages the insurance industry’s major technology platform, Sunrise Exchange.

GM Convergent Solutions & Sales Matthew Hyland says Mr Tobin will be responsible for developing and harnessing the Sunrise Exchange platform.

“Our intention is to strengthen and grow stronger relationships with the insurance sector,” he said.

Mr Tobin joined Sunrise Exchange in 2005 to assist the business in consolidating its products and services. He brings with him extensive experience of the insurance industry, from both the commercial management and technology areas. He was most recently Group Manager of E-Business at Allianz Australia.
