Sunrise Exchange has been named Technology Innovation of the Year in the Asia Insurance Review/Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) Industry Awards.

The judges said Sunrise Exchange – operated by Telstra eBusiness Services – stood out from competitors in its drive to achieve a paperless business and provide highly innovative, web-based, multi-channel electronic distribution to members.

Telstra eBusiness Services provides solutions across a range of vertical markets to enable business and government customers to manage the business transaction workflows more efficiently and effectively.

CEO David Brawn said the award is specifically for the Sunrise Exchange solution, but also reflects the team’s contribution to the transformation of policy transactions in the intermediated part of the general insurance industry – “both through the development of our innovative web-based Sunrise Exchange technology and the implementation of a streamlined program to convert the whole broker community from legacy to web/IP”.
