Suncorp takes out top insurer of the year
The insurance industry’s finest turned out to see Axa CEO Andy Penn crowned “leader of the year” at the Australia and New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards in Sydney last week.
More than 700 turned out for the awards, hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and Singapore publication Asia Insurance Review.
This year Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan added a new award to the event – the Good Governance and Practice Award. Marsh won the category.
ANZIIF CEO Joan Fitzpatrick says the calibre this year was “as high as ever” after five years of the awards.
“This year’s submissions demonstrated a sophisticated industry that is focused on innovation and customer service,” she said.
