Strata seminar is sold out

Insurance News’ half-day strata seminar takes place on Thursday with a strong line-up of speakers – and tickets are sold out.

The Sydney event, which follows a successful inaugural conference in March, will explore current trends and future challenges in the expanding strata sector.

CHU CEO Kimberley Jonsson kicks off by discussing growth trends in strata, before principal of climate analytics at Finity Consulting Sharanjit Paddam looks at the impact of natural disasters.

A panel session will then focus on affordability and address the issue of intermediary remuneration. On the panel are principal at Taylor Fry Jonathan Cohen, CEO at Whitbread Insurance Brokers Michael Giansiracusa, consultant John Trowbridge and Australian Consumer Insurance Lobby chair Tyrone Shandiman.

Specialist Bronwyn Weir will talk on the critical problem of building defects, while NSW strata commissioner John Minns will address concerns around maintenance and repairs.
