Search on for new RACV chief
RACV Chief Executive Ted Johnson is retiring in a few months, and the hunt is already on for his replacement.
Mr Johnson’s six-year tenure in the hot seat at the RACV tops off a long career in financial services, primarily in banking. It’s unlikely any decision he made was a tough as the one last year that saw RACV combine its back office operations with NRMA to form Insurance Manufacturers of Australia.
It saw the cohesive and efficient RACV, which was too small to stand alone and too market-specific to expand its reach, lose much of its identity under the larger and more aggressive NRMA. The Dublin-born Johnson was recruited to the RACV from the Bank of SA, where he was MD.
