The SA Government will introduce a new bill this week to make the state’s WorkCover system more “accountable and transparent”. Industrial Relations Minister Michael Wright says the Statutes Amendment (WorkCover Governance Reform) Bill 2003 is aimed at ensuring the WorkCover Corporation is subject to the same corporate governance arrangements that apply to many other government corporations.

The bill will also ensure the corporation is fully under the watch of the Auditor-General.
