The number of insurance claims from recent bushfires in SA has reached 1344 and the value of insured losses stands at $119.7 million, according to the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).

Last month ICA formally declared the bushfires north of Adelaide a catastrophe, putting its disaster taskforce and hotline into action.

ICA spokesman Ben McLean told insuranceNEWS.com.au there will be no further updates until December 18.
