RIMS forum tackles industry’s challenges
Insurance leaders have taken a hard look at the industry’s future development in a volatile business environment at the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) Australasia forum in Melbourne today.
The conference is the fourth to be held since the regional RIMS chapter was formed in 2013.
In her opening speech this morning, regional President Julie Pemberton praised the Australasia chapter, which she says has gone from strength to strength.
Its membership growth is among the best of all RIMS chapters globally, she says.
The forum’s first session focused on the region’s top risks and an insurance market update.
An expert panel held an in-depth discussion covering, among other things, increased competition, innovation and the volatile political environment.
The conference continues tomorrow with sessions on global insurance programs and cyber risk.
