The Federal Government’s export credit agency, Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC), has signed a reciprocal reinsurance agreement with a Dutch company that will help Australian exporters gain more overseas contracts.

The agreement with Atradius Dutch State Business is the fifth co-operation agreement EFIC has secured with Dutch counterpart Export Credit Agencies (ECA) over the past 18 months.

EFIC is a self-funding, statutory corporation and operates beyond the limits of the commercial market, providing support to Australian businesses when financial, country or industry risks exceed the capacity available in financial markets.
