Recreational providers get public liability relief
In a move welcomed by the insurance industry, the South Australian Government has amended legislation to allow recreational services providers to limit their public liability through waivers.
The changes to the Recreational Services (Limitation of Liability) Act will open the availability of public liability insurance for the providers, who have struggled with rate increases in the past.
Insurance Council of Australia Group Manager Southern Region Peter Jamvold says waivers can assist them to become properly insured and provide cost-effective services to customers.
