QBE wins seventh straight insurer of the year title
QBE has won its seventh straight NIBA General Insurer of the Year accolade at the NIBA Convention in Darwin.
Yesterday QBE Executive GM Intermediary Distribution Colin Fagen acknowledged some close competition in accepting the award, with Zurich, Chubb and CGU rounding out the minor placings.
Mr Fagen credited QBE’s hard-working staff for the seven straight wins, and told insuranceNEWS.com.au the insurer also benefits from sound financial strength and astute strategic planning.
Mr Fagen says the NIBA award forms a key component in QBE’s annual objectives.
“I doubt if people from outside the organisation realise how much we value this. It’s spoken about in our organisation with a degree of hunger.”
