The Insurance Council of Australia says Kate Lyons, most recently QBE group head of sustainability, has joined as Chief Information Officer for the next 12 months.

She took the role after Mark Campbell started a secondment to the Counter Fraud project.

Ms Lyons is former chair of the council’s climate committee and an advocate for many of the programs the peak body has championed over the past few years.

She is an actuary with more than 25 years’ experience in insurance across pricing, actuarial reserving, reinsurance and capital.
