QBE has taken out the top award at the Australian Banking and Finance Magazine Insurance Awards in Sydney.

The insurer was named best general insurer and CEO Frank O’Halloran was selected as the top Australian insurance executive for the second year in a row.

Aon took out the award for best insurance broker.
