Peter Corrigan award winners named
Two bright young insurance industry stars have been named winners of the Peter Corrigan International Exchange Awards.
Tracey Martin of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority in Sydney joined Hong Kong professional Fung Wing Man Fanny of Asia Insurance as this year’s award recipients.
Launched in 2004, the awards recognise outstanding young insurance talent and also aim to foster strong industry ties within the Asia/Pacific region.
The two winners receive $5000 each to fund short study tours in the region. The awards recognise talent across two regions – Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
Ms Martin plans to study new trends in insurance prudential regulation while Ms Fanny will focus on workers’ compensation and fraud detection and deterrence.
The awards are granted in memory of industry leader Peter Corrigan, who died suddenly in 2002 aged 46.
