Peter Corrigan award winner announced
Nada Adams, an insurance manager at GlaxoSmithKline in Melbourne, and Dinh Thi Minh Khue, a senior account executive at Aon Vietnam, have been named the winners of this year’s Peter Corrigan International Exchange Awards.
The Peter Corrigan award – which is a collaboration between the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and Deloitte – recognises and supports two promising young professionals by developing their leadership abilities and international business links in Australia, Asia, New Zealand and the south-west Pacific.
Selected from a shortlist of 12, the winners have been awarded $5000 each to help their work, study and cultural exchange. Ms Adams is the Australian/NZ winner, and Ms Khue is the Asia winner.
Ms Adams will use her winnings to go on a work-related trip to Japan and China, and Ms Khue is already in Australia to study marketing practices in the distribution of employee insurance benefits.
The award was established to honour former insurance leader and Trowbridge Deloitte MD Peter Corrigan, who died in 2002 at the age of 46. He managed NRMA Insurance, GIO Australia and AMP General Insurance before joining Deloitte in 2001.
The award panel included QBE Chairman John Cloney, former Suncorp Chairman John Lamble and representatives of Deloitte and ANZIIF.
