Motoring association-owned personal lines mutual insurers have again dominated a Roy Morgan customer satisfaction survey, extending a trend seen in recent findings.

Tasmania’s RACT Insurance scored best with a 93% rating in the satisfaction survey for last month, followed by SA insurer RAA (92%). People’s Choice Credit Union (90%) and Suncorp-owned specialist Shannons are equal third on 90%, trailed by Perth-based RAC Insurance (88%).

The latest results mean RACT Insurance has an “unbeatable lead” in the general insurer category for this year’s customer satisfaction award, Roy Morgan says.

RACT has taken home three straight general insurer of the year honours since winning for the first time in 2015.

“A win this year would take its tally to a very impressive five consecutive annual awards,” Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said.
