Perils adds New Zealand to cat coverage
Catastrophe data company Perils has expanded its coverage to include New Zealand.
The Swiss-based business will now provide property sums insured exposed to earthquakes, floods and extra-tropical cyclones.
It will also offer loss data for the covered perils if it produced market losses of $NZ300 million ($280 million) and above.
Perils already offer similar coverage for Australia, the UK and many other European countries.
