NZ brokers elect new president
Tony Butson, Chairman of NZ’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage Rothbury Group, has been elected the new President of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ).
Mr Butson will take over from Crombie Lockwood’s Invercargill branch Director Richard Russell, who served at the top of the board for three years.
The association’s board also elected David Crawford and Nick Cressey as vice presidents.
Mr Crawford is MD of Advisernet, a network of independent insurance brokers, and serves on the IBANZ education committee. Mr Cressey, who has worked in the industry for 34 years, is a Director of Insurance Brokers International.
Also joining the IBANZ board are Ruth Steele, Brokerage Manager and Senior Broker at Certus Insurance Brokers, and Duane Duggan, Operations Manager with FMR Risk.
