NTI expands reach
National Transport Insurance (NTI) has opened a new office in Darwin. The company says it is expanding geographically while other insurers are centralising operations. CEO Wayne Patterson says NTI’s presence in the Northern Territory means it can now provide clients with access to local decision-makers “who know about trucks and the transport industry”.
NTI says the Territory is predicted to have the highest growth rate in Australia over the next five years, and as the transport sector expands to meet demand created by construction and infrastructure projects the insurer will be well placed.
Territory Transport Minister Chris Burns has welcomed the move. Dr Burns says the transport sector plays a pivotal role in economic growth and job creation.
The Darwin office is the 13th in NTI’s network.
