IBNA’s non-executive Chairman Gary Gribbin has moved quickly and forcefully to correct any impression that he has taken over as CEO following the resignation of Paul Serong. Describing a report in an insurance newsletter (not, thankfully, this one) as “utter nonsense”, he said Peter Imeson was appointed acting CEO by the board immediately after Mr Serong resigned. “He continues to do a fine job in that capacity and will remain in the position until such time as a replacement is appointed.” Mr Gribbin is CEO of Professional Insurance Australia.
