NIBA President David Harris and CEO Noel Pettersen begin a national tour this week to discuss proposed constitutional changes.

Plans to expand NIBA’s membership will be discussed with members and potential members in meetings around the country, beginning in Adelaide today.

Mr Pettersen said he and Mr Harris are keen to “get face-to-face” with members. So far, reaction from NIBA members to the proposals has been positive. “There’s general acknowledgment of the need to broaden our scope to remain effective.” Under the proposed changes, life and general agents, as well as underwriting agencies, will be able to join NIBA.
