Brokers under 35 who have a senior colleague attending the annual National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Convention in Perth in October can take advantage of discounted rates for the event.

NIBA Professional Development Executive Linda Evans says the organisation’s proteges program allows young professionals to attend the most concentrated gathering of insurance and broking specialists in the annual calendar.

Ms Evans says the program is different from other educational opportunities during the year. Participants are challenged to move into new areas of thinking and be inspired in their business and personal lives.

The program is aimed at mentoring – a way for leaders to guide the next generation through an important learning experience.
