New president, deputy for AICLA
Ian McWalter of NSW loss adjusting firm Technical Assessing has stepped up to the plate as the new President of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA).
Ian Lavin of McLarens Young International in Queensland has joined the AICLA board as Deputy President/International Development Director and Queensland Division Chairman. He replaces Bill Clarke of Charles Taylor Adjusting as Queensland Division Chairman.
Former President Stephen Thorpe of GAB Robins in SA has stepped down from the board.
AICLA announced the changes following its AGM last week.
In other changes, Malaysia-based International Division Chairman Jeffery Tan will also serve as Executive Member, replacing Grahame Smith of McLarens Young International in Wellington. Mr Smith retains his place as NZ Division Chairman.
Jonathan Hubbard of GAB Robins Australia replaces Jon Hill of Freemans as NSW Division Chairman. In SA, Brett Tidswell replaces his Technical Assessing colleague Antonio Russo.
