New insurance magazine set for launch
Online news publisher insuranceNEWS.com.au has announced plans to launch a new magazine for the risk insurance sector.
Publisher Terry McMullan says Insurance News (the magazine) is being offered free to the more than 13,000 subscribers who already receive the weekly online service. The first issue will be mailed to subscribers within a few weeks.
Parent company McMullan Conway Communications produced the National Insurance Brokers Association’s magazine Insurance & Risk Professional for 11 years, but resigned in August this year.
Mr McMullan says the company decided to get back into magazines after discussions with industry leaders. “Everyone we spoke to said there’s a need for a non-aligned publication that can help to build understanding and awareness of just what a dynamic and vital industry insurance really is,” he said.
“We’ll pay for production and mailing of the magazine within Australia through advertising, and we intend that it will contain material that interests everyone at all levels of the industry.”
