National broking cluster group IBNA has appointed board member John Clark as Chairman. Former Chairman Gary Gribbin has assumed the role of deputy. The election of Mr Clark came at the same time as IBNA obtained a licence to conduct a wholesale placement facility.

Mr Clark is the Principal of Sydney brokerage Clark Pacific Insurance Brokers.

CEO Peter Imeson said Mr Gribbin’s long association with IBNA has been outstanding, especially over the past two years as Chairman.

“Gary has contributed significantly to the development of products and services, the strengthening of relationships with our business partners and the promotion of IBNA,” he said.

IBNA Broking has been granted an Australian financial services licence. Mr Imeson says the new subsidiary will be used to develop new product and marketing opportunities for members as well as giving them access to products that are normally unavailable.

Australia Indemnity CEO Paul Ellison has been appointed director of IBNA Broking. He will act as a consultant with responsibility for building specialty areas like professional indemnity and directors' and officers' insurance.
