Lumley General Insurance NZ CEO Rieny Marck has been elected President of the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ). He takes over the position from former IAG NZ CEO David Smith, who has left IAG and returned to Australia.

Mr Smith’s replacement, Nick Hawkins, has been elected Vice President.

Other new board members are Malcolm Beaton (Employers Re) and Michael Poole (Ace). John Balmforth (AMI), Roger Bell (Vero NZ), Martin Kreft (Munich Re), Pieter Lindhout (AMP General) and Brett Williams (Allianz NZ) will remain on the board for another two-year term.
