A funeral service for widely respected Melbourne broker Terry Lane will be held on Wednesday.

Tributes have flowed for Mr Lane, the MD of Midland Insurance Brokers and founding director of the National Insurance Brokers Association, who collapsed and died while playing golf with friends.

“In a generation of professionals, there are very few who genuinely stand out head and shoulders above others – Terry was such a person and leaves behind him a great legacy,” MGA Whittles Executive Chairman John George said.

The service will be in the Grand Ballroom at the Manningham Club in Thompsons Road, Bulleen, Victoria, from 10.30am.
