More face court over HIH

Two players on the HIH Royal Commission’s list of 18 men have been jailed, but there are still a number of executives who are yet to face court:

- Entrepreneur Brad Cooper, who is charged with bribing former Finance GM Bill Howard and making false statements, will face trial in August. (Mr Howard was given a suspended sentence in exchange for testifying against Mr Cooper.)

- HIH’s former Deputy Chairman Charles Abbott, who has been charged with dishonestly using his position as a director, is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

- Former FAI Finance Director Timothy Mainprize is awaiting trial on charges of failing to act honestly as an officer of FAI and providing false information.

- Former FAI COO Daniel Wilkie is also awaiting trial on charges of dishonesty.

- Former FAI Reinsurance Manager Stephen Burroughs is awaiting trial on a charge of failing to act honestly.
