Loss adjusters rush to NSW flood areas

Loss adjusters from across Australia have travelled to NSW to assess claims in the wake of the state’s devastating floods at the weekend.

Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) Administration Officer Tony Libke says loss adjusters are generally the first insurance personnel on the scene after a major loss or disaster.

GAB Robins says claims from the NSW Central Coast and Newcastle are escalating rapidly with more loss adjusting staff expected to arrive from interstate and Sydney shortly.

Other loss adjusting companies are also bringing staff in from around Australia.

Some sites are still inaccessible but are expected to be assessed as soon as possible.
