Kiwi, Taiwanese win Corrigan award

A New Zealand project manager has won the local component of the inaugural Peter Corrigan International Exchange Award. Roger Wallace of AMI Insurance will carry out an investigation of negative consumer perceptions and complaints-handling practices in insurance across the Asia-Pacific region.

Margaret Tsai, Casualty Assistant Manager from Ace Insurance in Taiwan, is the winner from Asia and will visit Australia to investigate current underwriting practices and leadership structures.

Selected from a shortlist of 10 applicants, the winners will share $10,000. The Peter Corrigan International Exchange Award was established by Trowbridge Deloitte and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance to honour Peter Corrigan’s significant contribution to the insurance industry.
