The decision to form a joint venture premium funder with Macquarie Bank has angered Grant Burley, MD of market leader Pacific Premium Funding.

Mr Burley, a gold sponsor of the Steadfast Convention, made his disapproval clear at a panel discussion in Brisbane yesterday.

But Steadfast Chairman Robert Kelly remains unmoved, saying it’s up to the premium funders as to whether they continue to sell their services within Steadfast.

“If you have confidence in your delivery and your product, why would the entry of another party be seen as a threat?”
