James Hardie shareholders give nod to fund
After much legal wrangling, shareholders of Australia’s largest building supplies company have given the green light to setting up a $4.5 billion compensation fund for asbestos victims.
All but a few James Hardie shareholders endorsed the move. The board said the advantages of the fund would include enhanced relationships with employees, customers and other stakeholders.
