Insurtech Australia co-founder Simon O’Dell will become CEO from tomorrow, succeeding Brenton Charnley, who will continue with the group as Chairman.

Mr O’Dell has more than 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry and worked as a broker for companies including Oxley and Whitbread.

He founded his own insurtech and provided consultancy services before becoming COO of Insurtech Australia last year.

Mr Charnley will have an advisory role as Chairman and will continue to be the Australian representative for the Global Insurtech Alliance.

Insurtech Australia co-founded the alliance in January, along with groups from Europe, Asia and New Zealand.
