Insurtech Australia joins global industry group
Insurtech Australia has joined its overseas peers to establish a global body to foster the growth of digital start-ups.
Global InsurTech Alliance will focus on building collaboration and promoting innovation among members. It will also gather industry analysis and insights, and create opportunities to attract investor interest.
“As a global network of organisations dedicated to supporting insurtech, [the body] will help facilitate new opportunities for Australian start-ups and offer enhanced collaboration opportunities to our corporate supporters,” Insurtech Australia CEO Brenton Charnley said.
New member organisations from Europe and North America are expected to join the alliance, whose other co-founders include InsTech London, InsurTech Asia and FinTechNZ.
The group will hold a global roadshow in March, allowing start-ups to meet leading insurers and investors in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Germany.
