John Deex has been appointed Managing Editor of Insurance News. He replaces Jan McCallum, who has left the publication to pursue freelance opportunities after more than four years in the role.

Mr Deex has worked at Insurance News since March 2013, writing for both the online bulletin and magazine.

He was formerly deputy editor of the UK regional daily newspaper the Cambridge News, which covered Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex. He also edited the newspaper’s award-winning online and social media platforms.
