Allianz Australia has been named General Insurance Company of the Year at the Australia and New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.

Among the other big winners named at the annual awards dinner in Sydney last week were Large Broker of the Year Marsh and QBE CEO Frank O’Halloran, who was judged Insurance Leader of the Year.

The awards are run by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Risk Manager/Team of the Year: Paul Hurrell, IAG NZ.
Service Provider of the Year: Finity.
Services to the Community Award: AMI.
Treasurer’s Good Governance and Practice Award: QBE.
