Insurance employees feeling the pressure
Financial services and insurance professionals are the most stressed workers of any industry and one of the least secure in their jobs, according to recruitment agency Hudson.
It says 44% of financial services and insurance professionals feel their jobs are less secure than a year ago, compared to an average of 29% across all professions. Only the resources industry registers higher.
Some 72% of the financial services and insurance professionals say workplace stress has increased, compared to the all-industries average of 54%.
Hudson Australia and NZ CEO Mark Steyn says nearly half of the 2400 employees surveyed revealed worker morale has plummeted.
“In every aspect of current workplace sentiment, whether job satisfaction, motivation, morale, perceived stress levels or job security, employers are clearly unaware of their employees’ frame of mind,” he said.
