ICA to host forums for Queensland flood victims

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) will host in-person forums across Queensland next month for insurance customers affected by the February and March floods.

The sessions will include presentations and discussions providing details regarding claims processes, complaints avenues, and other information to help policyholders claim damage covered by their insurance.

The forums will also allow policyholders to ask questions and raise concerns with insurers, with breakout sessions with specific insurers available.

“The Insurance Council and insurers are eager to hit the road in Queensland and meet with policyholders impacted by the flooding earlier this year," ICA CEO Andrew Hall said.

“The extreme weather throughout the South-East of the State has been relentless and we know that many are feeling overwhelmed, especially given other factors such as a delay in building supplies and contractors.”

ICA recently hosted similar conferences throughout flood-affected parts of Northern NSW.

Attendees are asked to book in advance at www.insurancecouncil.com.au/Floods2022.
