ICA pushes back code submission deadline
The Insurance Council of Australia has extended the deadline for submissions on its review of the General Insurance Code of Practice, as it seeks more diverse community feedback.
The code commits insurers to standards of service over and above statutory obligations, and the review team wants to hear from as wide a range of consumer groups as possible.
CEO Rob Whelan says submissions from the community provide “invaluable” insight on how the code is working to protect consumers.
“Their insights will help to ensure the code remains the benchmark for industry self-regulation in Australia,” he said.
The new deadline is April 28. To make a submission, click here.
