ICA Board Planning Day
The Insurance Council has held a “board planning day” with its executives and directors to discuss image-building. Executive Director Alan Mason said the meeting set objectives that focus on the strategic communication of a clear definition for an industry position and call for the association to become more proactive in developing positive communication with the media and public.
In recent months the need to rebuild the industry’s image has been highlighted by some commentators. Mr Mason said the list of objectives is “by no means exhaustive” but will provide a number of challenging opportunities.
He called on companies and employees at all levels to assist the ICA in the coming year to achieve the industry’s long-term goals. “It will provide a means for which the industry can benchmark toward a period of great change in the form of public perception and industry regulation.”
