The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has established an action group to co-ordinate the industry’s response to the climate change crisis.

External specialist Tom Davies will help with management of the Climate Change Action Committee for the next few months.

He has been involved with climate change adaptation and resilience work for more than a decade, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“ICA is collaborating with our members to address the many facets of climate change by chairing the recently formed [committee],” an ICA spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“ICA believes establishment of the [committee] is the first practical step in co-ordinating an industry approach and determining a program of actionable projects.”
