Allianz and Zurich will carry the commercial facility for cluster group IBNA from October 1. The restructured facility follows the withdrawal of CGU and QBE Mercantile Mutual after experiencing losses that were higher than expected. In a bulletin to members, CEO Paul Serong said the two resigning insurers will maintain their relationship with IBNA through their involvement in other products and services. “We look forward to continuing our association with them,” he said.

Calling on members to support the Zurich-Allianz arrangement, he said representatives from the two insurers are attending IBNA meetings in each region to launch the new facility.
