IBANZ elects new board
The Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ) has a new board of directors following its AGM in Wellington on Sunday. The meeting followed the association’s three-day annual conference.
Three serving members chose not to stand for re-election, but there were still more members looking to serve than available seats.
CEO Gary Young says the fact that there was an election shows there is keen interest in the organisation. “That’s a really healthy thing for our organisation and our industry.”
The new board is: Tony Butson (C&G Rothbury Group); David Crawford (Insurance Advisernet); Nick Cressey (Insurance Brokers International); Bill Donovan (Willis); Graham Henry (Marsh); Lindsay Kerr (IC Frith); Tony Rowe (Trafalgar Insurance Brokers); Richard Russell (Crombie Lockwood); Jason Smith (Property and Commercial Insurance Brokers); Garry Stewart (Vision Insurance); Colin Wiggins (Wilkinson Insurance Brokers) and Murray Woofe (N-Sure Brokers).
The new board will meet in October to elect office-bearers. It’s understood present IBANZ President Richard Russell will stand for re-election.
